Hunting in the Marche
At the end of the year, the Marche Region gave hunters a "poisoned" gift by reducing the time required for hunting the most interesting species for enthusiasts, both with dogs and from stalking. The provision was not unexpected, but until its publication Federcaccia Marche was at the forefront to avoid the changes to the hunting calendar proposed by the Region, which we could not and cannot share, even if as citizens respecting the obtorto collo laws we will adapt. Unlike others, who now speak standing up as always only in words as champions of the hunters, the only Hunting Association that has dissociated itself from this decision of the Region - the minutes are there to prove it in black and white while the chatter is zero - was Federcaccia Marche. And this is an incontrovertible truth. But she's not alone. The truth is that what happened in other regions, Tuscany and Sardinia for example - is neither the result of luck nor chance, but of a work of relationships and collaboration with those administrations largely carried out by our Federation.
The behavior of the Region
The truth is that the hunting office of the Marche Region has been dismantled for two years and the memory of how to deal with certain issues has also been lost. The truth is that FIdC Marche had sent its proposal for a hunting calendar on 10 February 2022, but more importantly, it had expressly asked the Region to deliberate by 15 May. If that were the case today we wouldn't be discussing a new calendar. The truth is that the Region has never listened to collaboration proposals nor has it ever involved us in drafting the technical document accompanying the calendar. The truth - which no one has the courage to say and write - is that the managers of this Region 2 years ago did not respond to the Ministry on the 2020 derogations and for this reason some of them are under investigation for tax damage at the Court of Auditors and now they are afraid to sign the Acts. The truth is that FIdC was left alone to fight with the Regional Offices on species, methods and times. An attitude that we find normal in the case of Arcicaccia, which has abdicated its role of supporting hunters for at least a decade, especially on migration, but which amazes us on the part of ANLC and Enalcaccia. The truth is that Federcaccia was the only one to appeal to the Tar against that calendar.
Studies and scientific research
The truth is that after the pronouncement of the Council of State, Federcaccia proposed a new resolution to the Region with all the supporting scientific documents, the same ones that have led to very different results in the Regions that have decided to resist and not passively accept the indications of comply with Ispra opinions. They are those scientific studies carried out in agreement and collaboration with universities and often validated by scientific journals that someone contemptuously defines as "homemade", downgrading even university research and universities to homemade stuff! The same studies and technical-scientific documents of which, in other periods, he did not hesitate to share the merits for the results and now he is bitter because times have changed and at home he is not able to ring even a thrush. The truth is that studies and scientific research are and will be increasingly fundamental, so while there are those who speak out of turn, in the month of December in the Conero Regional Park thanks to the collaboration of the Park Authority, Amici di Scolopax and the Office Studies and national research, Federcaccia has equipped with a satellite transmitter another 3 woodcocks and 6 thrushes. Finally, the truth is that Federcaccia Marche has always defended hunting and the hunters of the region and will continue to do so, without giving up a step, while others prefer to chat.
