A beautiful sunny day accompanied this first Epiphany competition , open to all female dog handlers, who challenged each other by leading their trusty four-legged friends . Representatives of all pointing and flushing breeds, both English and continental, showed off their skills, guided by our girls , who demonstrated their ability to perform well in this type of competition.
Also noteworthy is the participation of very young participants, in some cases almost smaller than their dogs , who in some cases even struggled to restrain their faithful squires from the sprint following the whirring. The event was held under the aegis of a three-member jury (Mazzoleni, Erario, and Martorella), who carefully evaluated the dogs' performance to establish a ranking, but also sought to encourage all participants to interact with each other, thus creating a harmonious atmosphere befitting the type of event.
The Elite race was won by an English setter handled by Emanuela Fusari , followed by Oneal , an English setter handled by Deborah Savoia, and third by Daisy , an English setter handled by young Martina Rota. Following them, tied for first place, were Zara, an English setter owned by Renata Giovannini, Eta, an English pointer owned by Adriana Besana, Elisa Stefanoni, Elena Ravasi, Lola, a cocker spaniel owned by Giulia Rota, Zar, an English setter owned by Alessia Regonesi, Petra, a Gordon setter owned by Iwona Salak, and Rebecca Tenconi.
Kudos to the event organizer, Cristiana Preti , assisted by Deborah Savoia, to Renato Novati, who supervised the entire event, and to the Milan/Monza Brianza Provincial Section of the Italian Hunting Federation, as well as to the Limbiate section, which, as always, proves to be at the forefront of hunting dog breeding in Lombardy .
