Federcaccia was therefore able to make itself known even better as association well rooted in the territory, demonstrating above all a fact of no small importance: hunting does not mean only and simply a game bag, but also and above all aggregation, friendship, passion and sharing. More recently was the traditional social dinner of the section. Four days ago, Friday April 8, 2016, the section of Mirabello and that of Sant'Agostino (Ferrara town of about 7 thousand inhabitants which rises on the northern edge of the Bosco della Panfilia) of Federcaccia have joined forces.
They participated in the demonstration più di 150 persone, not only hunters, but also friends and family. The dinner was organized at the "I Durandi" restaurant di Mirabello and allowed old friends to taste typical dishes of the tradition and to deepen and tell stories about hunting and related to dog lovers. In addition to food, there were important moments of recognition and awards. The "lifetime achievement" awards were assigned to the longest running hunters: the 80 years are only personal and these associates have shown great spirit and strength to venture into the fields.
The federation has rewarded Louis Melloni e Alfonsino Poltronieri: the number one of the provincial section of Ferrara was present, Luca Natali, the president of the Territorial Area of Caccia Ferrara 1, Gianluigi Zucchi, and the president of Federcaccia Mirabello, Antonio Gonelli. There were many food for thought after the social dinner. In particular, there was talk of the management of the local territory, of hunting, of the hunting calendar, of the control plans of the invasive species (wild boars in primis) and more. In particular, the calendar will be regional only starting from this year, an approval that is expected in the coming days. In a nutshell, the two days saw cordiality, tradition and simplicity triumph, aspects to which Federcaccia wanted to give a lot of space.
