Federcaccia Perugia: hunting and "sentinels of the environment", 14 thousand hunters will watch over the territory alongside the Provincial Police.
14 thousand sentinels of the environment, equipped with a card with the number of the provincial police operations center, will carefully monitor the environment, also playing the role of hunters at the same time.
The novelty emerges following an agreement signed today (August 31) at 11.00, in the Palazzo della Provincia di Perugia (Sala Pagliacci) between the organization and the Italian Federation of Hunting, represented by its provincial president Alessandro Barbino.
Under the agreement, all members of the Federcaccia (over 14 thousand in the provincial territory of Perugia) will be, in addition to hunters, also environmental sentinels and will all be equipped with a card that reads "Sentinel of the environment - My passion at the service of the community ”with the number of the Perugia Provincial Police operations center written above, which will be called to intervene in the event of reports.
Thus the pre-opening of the hunt begins for the over 22.000 hunters of the provincial territory of Perugia, scheduled for 1 and 2 September 2012 and this year alongside the 38 patrols of the Provincial Police, there will therefore be, scattered throughout the territory provincial, about 14 thousand 'controllers' who will supervise with careful monitoring aimed at the protection and enhancement of the environment and the protection of its ecosystem. Any violation, such as illegal landfills, environmental pollution, poaching episodes or the reporting of people in difficulty, will be immediately reported to the operations center of the Provincial Police of Perugia at 07532111.
A significant step in the collaboration with the Institutions, an important initiative to raise awareness and protection of the environment and prevention activities aimed at the conservation of nature and environmental balances, the protection of flora and wild fauna, to avert all negative pollution actions , to protect ecosystems and protected areas.
Proving once again with the facts that the hunter is the first and most careful keeper of the environment.
