Federcaccia Piedmont chose a famous phrase by Eduardo De Filippo to comment on the hunting situation in the region: "It has from passà to nuttata". The past three years have been called tragic, characterized by continuous difficulties, although the latest statements by Giorgio Ferrero, regional councilor for hunting, have crossed the line. The hunting association pointed out that Ferrero has never shown himself to be a friend of hunters, especially since the anti-hunters asked for drastic action on the typical alpine fauna (in 2014 to be precise).
Rock ptarmigan and variable hare were excluded from the calendar for the 2014-2015 season, a situation that can be remedied shortly following the intervention of the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court. If the Constitutional Court were to confirm its guidelines it would be a fundamental turning point for the hunting world, a hard blow for Ferrero himself.
The last words of the latter have surprised and not a little, given that the votes of the final balance sheets of the Territorial Areas of Hunting Turin 3, 4 and 5 were judged valid, despite a Pec sent ten days ago by Federcaccia Piemonte, Enalcaccia and Ente Produttori Selvaggina, associations that have raised strong doubts about legitimacy of the acts. The problem with voting was the lack of a quorum. For the balance sheets of ATC and Piedmontese districts, a majority of at least half of the members plus one is required.
