The regional section of the Piemonte of Italian Federation of Hunting, Enalhunt andGame Producers Authority have filed an appeal against the hunting calendar 2017-2018. The document presented by the regional council does not convince the hunting associations, in particular the content that would discriminate against Piedmontese hunters.
The latter do not want to face a new one penalizing season compared to other Italian regions: the aspects that convinced the hunting associations to resort against the calendar are the huntable species, the game boxes and the opening and closing dates. Bruno Morena, number one of FIDC Piemonte, spoke of a “due act” and of hunters who deserve respect, also because it is three years in a row that we must have recourse to the TAR. The administrative judges have promptly agreed with the associations, despite this Morena still believes in dialogue with Councilor Ferrero.
According to Federcaccia Piemonte, the Region appears increasingly committed to imposing its will, forgetting how Piedmontese hunting "it does not cost taxpayers one euro of public money, as it is paid and fully supported by the hunters". The Court will have to express itself before the start of the season (fourth Sunday in September). Meanwhile, the judges themselves will have their say ptarmigan, lark, variable hare and other 12 species of anatidae and migratory birds on June 14th.
