Sunday 17 July took place in the hamlet of Spignana, located in thehigh Apennines of Pistoia, the I "Il Butale" Trophy - from the locality of the same name - dog competition for pointing dogs and looking for partridges without shot. The event met with considerable success with competitors assisted by valid auxiliaries. The success was due to the fact that the event took place in a magnificent mountain setting that allowed the competitors to enjoy a magnificent coolness after days of scorching heat as well as the desire to resume dog training.
The competition allowed us to experience all the aspects of our being hunters that the health emergency and its restrictions have taken away from us in recent years and has allowed us to be together in joy, meet old friends, find new ones, express our thoughts and feelings about nature and hunting. A well-founded satisfaction therefore, for the Municipal Section of Pistoia which organized this appointment.
The participation and competence of the two Federcaccia judges Marco Orlandini e Ginetto Baldoni made it possible to draw up the relative rankings which did not give rise to any complaints from the competitors. The President of the Municipal Section of Pistoia Luconi thanks all the participants in the Trophy, the owner of the Savigni ssa on whose land the competition took place, the sponsors Bitrabi and Armeria Innocenti di Montemurlo.
A special thanks goes to those who physically organized the race: the incomparable secretary Sandra, Damiano Breschi and Luciano Iozzelli and all those who went out of their way to pack hundreds of sandwiches to stem the appetite of those present. The Municipal Section of Pistoia, given the success achieved and the requests received from the participants, undertakes to re-propose this trophy again next year. Greetings from all the members of the Municipal Section and a "good luck" for the next opening, which is almost upon us (source: Hunting Federation).
