The provincial section of Teramo of Italian Federation of Hunting announced the opening of registrations for the training course intended for ungulate selection hunters. The application form can be submitted until March 16: the lessons will take place at the multipurpose room of the Municipality of Castellalto, in the locality Castelnuovo al Vomano. The course consists of four distinct modules.
The first will take place on March 20, 22 and 24: This is a general 9-hour part that will include topics such as generalities on ungulates, applied ecology and general principles of management. The second module will be distinguished instead in five parts. The first (March 26) will be dedicated to wild boar, with 8 hours that will cover classification, biological cycle, population consistency and trophy evaluation. The second (28 and 31 March) will deepen every aspect relating to roe deer: it will last a total of 8 hours and will address the same issues listed above for wild boar.
The other parts will focus on fallow deer, mouflons and red deer. The third module refers to sampling techniques, with a total of 13 hours between 4 and 14 April: we will talk about hunting and hunting, notions of ballistics, biometric measurements and evaluation of the effects of shooting. After the fourth module with exercises (17 19 and April), it will be the turn of the final exam, which will consist of a written test with a multi-answer quiz.
