The seventh edition of the Memorial Alberto Pansera and the second edition of the Trophy named after Giuseppe Albini. To Abbiategrasso (province of Milan) everything is ready for the weekend of 2 3 and April next, the two days chosen for the dog test on partridges which was organized by the municipal section of the Italian Federation of Hunting. The categories of dogs in the competition are four, that is "Libera", "Cacciatori", "Cacciatori Abbiatensi" and "Giovani", so the show will certainly be interesting. Registrations will be made directly on the field of the test we are talking about, starting from 13:30 as regards the Abbiatense nucleus on Saturday, while on Sunday they will start from 8 for everyone.
The exact place where the event will take place is the Zone B (Temporary) Cascina Casalina in via Cassolnovo (sand quarry). Some important prizes are expected. Specifically, the "Free" category will be characterized by the awarding of the first five classified of each breed (English, Continental and Spaniel-Search), while the barrage will only concern pointing dogs in relation to the Federcaccia trophy. In the "Hunters" category the awards will be reserved equally to the first five classified of each breed (the same ones mentioned above) with an identical barrage.
The "Abbiatensi Hunters" category is slightly different from this point of view: in fact, the prizes are reserved for the top three of each race and the barrage will concern the trophy in memory of Alberto Pansera. The barrage for pointing dogs will take place with all categories, except that of the "Young". The award for the best youngster will complete the program for the first weekend of April. Partridges (both red and sardines) are part of the hunting trials on all natural game (with or without the culled game): birds are included in a long list which also includes pheasants, partridges, rock partridges, quails, woodcocks, snipes, croccoloni, colini, francolini and grouse.
Newly released game is usually not considered suitable, as established by the regulations of the ENCI (Italian National Dog Club). In the performances, the judges especially evaluate the search that is intelligent, orderly and such as to guarantee an effective exploration of the terrain. The gait must be that typical of the breed, more or less fast depending on the nature of the terrain: the firm request is solid, decisive and expressive, with a spontaneous consent. Finally, the dog will be asked to maintain constant contact with the handler, always showing himself obedient.
