A special territory
A passage that was held in history is historic Pescia (PT) in the presence of the Federcaccia National President Massimo Buconi and the Federcaccia UCT Regional President Marco Salvadori, and which saw the Federcaccia “G.Puccini” Section of Pescia, together with the National and Tuscan Federcaccia, complete the purchase of the historic local section, in an area where, on 1 January 1900, our Association was born. In fact, Federcaccia - as recalled by President Massimo Buconi during his speech during the inauguration - was founded right there, by Raffaello Lavoratti from Uzzano and Giacomo Puccini, who also became its first honorary President, and who also, in a villa near Pescia, where he used to go hunting, he composed the third act of the opera “La Bohème”.
The inaugural ceremony
After the formal obligations and the signing of the deed, great participation for the inaugural ceremony coordinated by the President of the Provincial Federation of Pistoia Franco Biagini, and by the President of the Pescia Section Roberto Nannini. Also present at the proceedings were Riccardo Burresi from the Office of the Tuscany Regional Vice President, as well as Councilor for Agriculture and Hunting Stefania Saccardi, who strongly wanted to be present at the event. “We are proud of our history and our journey over these one hundred and twenty years” declared Buconi. “Nevertheless, the commitment of all of Federcaccia is aimed at the future! A future where hunting and hunters are protagonists of the life of modern society, and where our passion is recognized for what it really represents, and not for how it is often, cowardly and instrumentally, portrayed!
Convinced support
The intervention of the Tuscan Regional President Marco Salvadori was also of the same tone and declared: “We have confidently supported the Pescia Section in this process with the help of the National Team. Supporting the territories represents a duty more than ever, to give breath and perspective to local associative life, the true lifeblood and added value of the entire Association" (The FIdC-UCT Secretariat).
