Federcaccia Veneto he wanted to express his bitterness in a press release towards the behavior of the Region towards the hunting world. The stance has to do with the discovery of what happened during the technical meeting of the State-Regions Conference: the data that supported the decision to close the hunting season on January 31st in relation to some species were presented (including the Cesena), but the Veneto Region has decided not to show up. Furthermore, according to FIDC, other Italian regions attended the same meeting using the technical-scientific preparation that was prepared by Michael Sorreni, the national responsible for what concerns migratory birds, and on the basis of it they refused to sign the agreement.
In addition, in the meeting of 17 December last, the State-Regions Conference rejected the request for an agreement to close the hunting season on the date of 20st January for the woodcock, cesena and song thrush species, a hypothesis that had been advanced by the Ministry of the Environment. The Veneto regional council approved a resolution to anticipate the closure of the Cesena hunt in nine days, while according to Federcaccia the data supporting the closure eleven days later are in the possession of the Region.
In fact, reference can be made to a table of the ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) which illustrates the catches in Veneto and highlights the abandonment of the wintering areas at the end of January (at the latest in the first days of February). According to the FIDC Veneto press release, the Region agreed with the Ministry, while the latter's wishes were rejected by many other regions. Among other things, the principles of autonomy promoted by the Northern League and which allow to deviate from the national data with a specific paragraph of the guide to the discipline of hunting in the European Union would have been contradicted.
In the last hunting season, on the contrary, the Region had not aligned itself with the thought of the Ministry of via Cristoforo Colombo. Today's choice is defined as incomprehensible and violent, as well as mortifying towards the dignity of migratory Venetian hunters. The resolution that sets the closure of hunting for the Cesena species (turdus pilaris) on January 20, 31 is dated December 2015, XNUMX. In the last few days, the Councilor for Agriculture and Hunting Joseph Pan he had argued with his stance on wild boars and the advisability of avoiding free hunting in Veneto (by proposing control plans).
