La FIDASC (Italian Federation of Disciplines with Sport Hunting Hooks) sent an important circular to the regional and provincial presidents and delegates regarding the fourteenth edition of Individual and team Italian championship shooting up boar silhouette with smooth-bore rifles. As explained by the federation, the dates and locations of the final of this event are official (the reference is obviously the 2016 sports season). The national final will take place next 3, 4 and 5 June, to be precise in locality Alicella (in the municipality of Settingiano, in the province of Catanzaro). The organizing company is also the ASD Gruppo Tiro Sportivo.
Now it will be necessary to wait for the drafting of the calendar of the regional heats, but to obtain it the FIDASC has urged to transmit as soon as possible the dates and venues for the same races, in addition to the name of the contact person of the federal company organizing the event, the support armory and the person in charge of collecting the cartridges, in addition to the total number of targets that are necessary for the normal running of the competition. The circular also underlines how the deadline for the regional heats is next 22 May.
All the details for organizing the championship are listed in the FIDASC regulations. First of all, the categories provided are two, namely shooting with fixed target and shooting with moving target. All Italian shooters who are in possession of a valid federal card, as well as foreign shooters with accident insurance and third-party liability insurance, can participate in preliminary rounds and championships. The shooter comes to the firing line equipped with headphones and gogglesFurthermore, the rifle must be in perfect condition as regards operation, without forgetting the appropriate ammunition.
No more cartridges may be carried than are strictly necessary for the performance of the test. After being called, the competitor approaches the firing line with the rifle in custody e when not firing, the firearm position must be open or with the bolt in the rear position (semi-automatic rifle). After the third call, the shooter who does not show up is automatically disqualified.
In these competitions you can use guns with smooth-bore non-radius barrels, specifically juxtaposed, overlapped or semi-automatic (usually the caliber is 12 or 20). Firearms must be loaded with bullets no heavier than 28 grams. The shotgun, on the other hand, is prohibited. The score is determined on the basis of the value of the circular crown drawn from the bullet.
