The second edition of the Campaign Shooting Championship organized by FIDASC (Italian Federation of Hunting Sport Weapons Disciplines) was characterized by the presence of about sixty finalists from all over Italy. This is the specialty that involves the use of guns with rifled barrel and running silhouette at 50 meters: In addition, a complete set of ten shots. The Saturday of the competitions was reserved for Lazio for logistical reasons and overall the final balance was marked by the satisfaction and growth of this specialty, which is experiencing a real "magical moment". The organization was managed by the 'ASD Torre Baccelli di Fara in Sabina (province of Rieti): the facility worked perfectly and the federal president Felice Buglione stated that the field shooting is now ready for a decisive leap in quality and the doubling of the shots available to shooters (there are also those who speak of 25).
The first place in the "Senior" category and in the general classification was won by Umbrian Antonio Paioli with an important 84/100, the same score scored by the Campania Cosimo D'Argenio. To determine the winner, the judges used the criterion of the distance of the shots considered more distant, as required by the FIDASC regulations. The third square of the podium was instead occupied by another Campania, Lucio Saccomanno, capable of reaching 78/100.
In the “Veterans” category, however, the gold medal was that of the Umbrian Mario Paioli (62 points overall), followed by the Friulian Charles Mattiello (48) and from Lucan Alfonso D'Amato (39). We must also underline the Lazio podium in the “Lady” category: in order they triumphed Jessica Corteggiani (53 points), Loretta San Giorgio (32) and Marzia Marchetti (28). The report continues with the "Junior" category: in this case the Campania player dominated Michael Fernando (63 points), which preceded the Calabrian Raffaele Viscomi (44) and the bell Jessica Rubortone (38). The Lazio Lady team got the better of the rest with its 113 points, without forgetting the Senior teams of Campania.
President Buglione himself and vice-president Alfonso D'Amato expressed all their enthusiasm and satisfaction for the rankings just detailed, uttering words of praise for the organizers of the championship and for the athletes. Buglione especially emphasized the presence of Calabrian shooters on the platform alongside those from Friuli or Lombardy, the tangible demonstration that the FIDASC disciplines are very widespread and boast a consolidated pool of hunters and athletes. From the third edition, that of 2017, further strengthening is therefore expected.
