Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April the FIDASC and the ASD Gruppo Astore di Countryside (province of Salerno) will organize the fourth edition of Italian Rifle Shooting Championship: it is, to be precise, the specialty 200 meters resting on silhouette of the chamois. The first day will be the one in which the competitors from the Campania and Puglia regions will participate, while the following day will see all the other regions engaged on the basis of a draw.
Will be admitted, as can be guessed from the name of the event, company-produced rifled hunting guns: as a consequence, handcrafted weapons and prototypes will be excluded. Tripods and bipods will be absolutely prohibited, while muzzle brakes will be allowed. As far as the calibers are concerned, it is necessary to respect those foreseen by the first paragraph of article 13 of the Hunting Law ("Means for the exercise of hunting"), in any case not less than 222 Remington caliber.
There are also provisions for the overall weight of the weapon, less than or equal to 5 chili (with a maximum tolerance equal to 2%), and for the length, not exceeding 125 cm. The auxiliary scopes will be used to verify the shot, as long as you do not go beyond the time required by the regulation. Permitted weapons include semi-automatic hunting rifles, loaded in a single shot.
Furthermore, there are no limits for ammunition, even reloading ones. The prize money made available is very interesting. The podiums of all categories will be awarded with the relative ones medals, as well as in the case of teams. There will be the championships of Campione d'Italia and the diplomas of recognition, without forgetting the cash prizes: it is about 2,2 million euro, 200 of which for each Italian champion, 200 for the two teams, as well as ten “reserved” prizes of 100 euros each.
