A memorandum of understanding
It was signed a few days ago, on 14 April, by the national president of Federcaccia Massimo Buconi and by that of ANUUMigrators Marco Castellani a Memorandum of Understanding which sees the structures of the two recognized hunting associations committed to giving further vitality to the collaboration to give further impetus on the territory and at all levels to the creation of unitary initiatives for hunting and services for the respective members. At the basis of the agreement is the awareness of the need to develop the common commitment achieved within the national control room, also to strengthen the unitary path between them and between the Associations that want to share content and aims, but also sharing in both Associations of the political and action lines aimed at recovering the values of rurality and the enhancement of all forms of sustainable hunting, opposing any instrumental limitation both in legislation and in practice.
National hunting law
Among the points that Federcaccia and ANUUMigratoristi share we find the need for a rational and non-ideological review of the national and regional legislation on hunting and protected areas that can no longer be postponed, which can guarantee a model of environmental governance and hunting fauna throughout the national territory. The firm request for the adoption of hunting calendars with times and species according to the different territorial realities which see the correct application of the provisions of 157/92, the Habitat Directive and the Key concepts commonly defined at the level of European countries and which also define the notwithstanding levy and the use of live lures.
Training and retraining
The strengthening and development of scientific studies in the field of wildlife and agri-environment; a qualitative improvement of relations with the agricultural world for the enhancement of the rural system with positive effects on wildlife; the training and retraining of executives and the greater involvement and promotion of hunting in society and in particular among young people starting from school age, are other shared themes on which the joint efforts of the two Associations will concentrate (Federation Press Office Italiana della Caccia – ANUUM Migratoristi).
