Programming functions
In a letter sent to the President of the Campania regionFedercaccia Campania and the other recognized regional hunting associations – ANUUMigratoristi, Enalcaccia, Arci Caccia, Italcaccia, and Libera Caccia – request that the Department of Agriculture be delegated responsibility for wildlife and hunting activities. As the undersigned authorities explain, Law No. 157 of February 11, 1992, in regulating the protection of wildlife as an inalienable asset of the State, assigns specific planning, management, and regulation functions to the Regions. These functions fall within the framework of regional responsibilities outlined in Title V of the Constitution, particularly in relation to the promotion of agricultural and forestry activities and land management.
Hunting and agricultural activities
In this context, hunting is closely linked to the agricultural and forestry sectors, with regulatory, management, wildlife, and territorial implications. It is considered a component of the rural system and contributes to the balance of wildlife and the protection of agricultural production.
Organizational coordination
In light of the above, the undersigned Associations consider it appropriate to bring the responsibility for managing wildlife and hunting activities under the Regional Department of Agriculture, in order to ensure more effective organizational coordination and consistent administrative management of the relevant functions.
