The month of August is almost over, but i roccoli continue to be one of the main hunting debates. The Minister of the Environment, Gianluca Galletti, sent a letter to Stefano Bonaccini, president of the Conference of the Regions, a document that the Brescia section of the Italian Federation of Hunting he called "interesting". The holder of the dicastery has decided to analyze all the vicissitudes relating to the possibility of capture of birds to use as live decoys, in addition to the alleged infringement procedure opened by Brussels.
The capture takes place in the plants that are managed by the provinces, the roccoli, and Galletti himself claims to have managed to cancel this infringement, having banned these same catches during the hunting season 2015-2016. Furthermore, the minister underlined in his letter that the catches are not prohibited, but can be carried out following to the letter the provisions of the Hunting Law (article 19 bis).
The Regions have the possibility of resorting to exceptions, but this letter from Galletti did not at all convince Federcaccia Brescia. In particular, the same exemptions are mentioned as alternative solution if there are no other satisfactory ones, without forgetting the need for evaluations on plans to upgrade the call farms. The association defined Galletti's words "yet another mockery", as also happened in the case of hunting notwithstanding the starling (10 birds a year for 27 Brescia hunters).
