Current and future generations
From the animal-environmentalist world, only the usual hackneyed refrains on the need to protect the environment, for current and future generations. A concept and a goal that can be shared, obviously. What doesn't add up, as always, is that everything is expressed in the only way they know: prohibiting everything and not touching anything.
Buconi's words
The president of the Federcaccia, Massimo Buconi, explored the issue in depth in a video that appeared on social media: "Yet another initiative by environmental and animal rights associations, with the support of some politicians and ISPRA experts. We talked about the environment, article 9 of the Constitution, and how to apply protection for future generations. We agree with today's protection and for the future, in relation to the conservation of this asset, but everything has been imbued with the usual anti-hunting ideology, as if the problem were hunting".
Too many ideologies and controversies
Buconi then added: “Despite the open procedures for which Italy pays environmental sanctions to Europe, there are none that concern the issue of hunting or wildlife. The word MANAGEMENT continues to be absent from this debate. Only with slogans, ideologies and controversies nothing can be protected, this applies to bears, wolves, wildlife of hunting interest, fish, bees and any other insect. We are for management and we are sorry that we continue to stubbornly shy away from this concept” (source: FIDC).
