Lawsuit
La Federcaccia Campania, represented by its President, Avv. Modestino Bianco, as well as the Provincial Section of FIDC of Avellino, represented by Dr. Pasquale De Vicariis, inform that they have given a mandate to their trusted lawyer so that, after an out-of-court formal notice, he may challenge before the competent TAR the contingent and urgent ordinances issued by the Mayors of the Municipalities of Pietrastornina, Sant'Angelo a Scala, Taurasi, Mugnano del Cardinale and Serino.
Exponential increase of the species
With these ordinances, in fact, despite an exponential increase in the wild boar species throughout the province of Avellino which has caused and continues to cause damage to crops and road accidents, sometimes with significant damage to property and people, it was decided to prohibit stalked hunting in the territory of the aforementioned municipalities on the basis of supposed dangers to public safety.
Illegitimate ordinances
Considering, however, that such ordinances are not only illegitimate, disproportionate, unmotivated and lacking the conditions set out in art. 54 of Legislative Decree no. 267/2000 but above all detrimental to the rights of its members as well as all hunters who hunt wild boars in such areas and in their defense, it was deemed appropriate to warn the Mayors to immediately revoke the aforementioned ordinances in self-defense, warning them that otherwise, after the seven-day deadline, the competent judicial authority will be brought to the attention of the mayors (source: FIDC).
