Teaching and experience
Applause goes to the impeccable and efficient organization carried out by the FIdC provincial section of Catanzaro; heartfelt thanks to Dr. Piraino and to the veterinary service, for the activation of the course, for the educational-training addresses, as well as always available and attentive to the issues of the sector, to Dr. Nicola Parisi, veterinary trainer and also expert in ungulate hunting, to Dr. Caterina Riverso and Maria Teresa Clausi for their great professionalism and to the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Southern Italy for making the skills of their staff available. Given the need to implement training on the subject, especially at the current time in the presence of the PSA emergency, other training courses will soon be activated by Federcaccia and will be disseminated appropriately.
Enabling the selector controllers
Among the primary and strategic objectives of Federcaccia Calabria, a pre-eminent element is training aimed at hunters. In addition to the activities already started in Reggio Calabria to enable selector controllers, other initiatives will soon start, including, starting from February, further courses for selector controllers and qualification for track dog handlers, limiters and turn operator. Initiatives promoted and organized always in synergy with a collaborative spirit with the institutions: Calabria Region, Department of Agriculture, Hunting Sector, Regional Veterinary Service, etc. to guarantee a service to hunters by working increasingly towards modern and sustainable hunting.
