Many topics on the agenda
The members' meeting was held on Saturday 15 July 2023 Federcaccia of the Municipality of Macerata, many topics on the agenda in which guests met such as the councilor for the environment of the Municipality of Macerata, Paolo Renna, the FIDC Provincial President, Nazzareno Galassi, Matteo Brecciaroli, member of the FIDC Marche youth group, Romiti Leonardo ATC MC1 delegate, Paccamiccio Giuliano FIDC president of the Porto Recanati section, Cammertoni Tonino FIDC president of the Pollenza section and FIDC Macerata provincial councilor, and about 70 FIDC members of the section to which they belong. First of all, the unanimous approval of the 2022 budget, with a more than positive cash balance, which found satisfaction in local hunters for the many and participatory initiatives organized and implemented by the Macerata section management; the budget for 2023 was illustrated by the president of the assembly, which was also unanimously approved.
A reference point
In the continuation of the assembly, the Municipal President Virginio Micozzi illustrated one by one the many initiatives that have taken place during the year, many of which are now a point of reference for the hunters of the province. First of all the competition for pointing dogs without killing held in the training camp strongly desired by passionate dog lovers of the Macerata and Polenza sections, but also the now customary and commendable "Cleaning of ancient sources" of the common citizen, in agreement with the administration municipality, which for some years now has been restoring beauty and visibility to these historic sources, allowing tourists and passers-by to enjoy the vision of these and savor past atmospheres. The usual procession of San Giuliano, Patron of the city and of hunters, was then organised, where the brotherhood of hunters of Macerata will bring the Saint as usual through the streets of the historic centre. Subsequently, President Micozzi reported on the results obtained by the section with the Pernice Project, a three-year project strongly desired by ATC MC1 and Federcacciatori which has given and is giving various satisfactions in terms of broods and the presence of this species in general throughout the territory municipal.
Hares and fences
Attention was then paid to another important success achieved by the section, that of the pre-adaptation enclosures for throwing hares destined for the Municipality, which saw, thanks to the commitment of the hunters of the Municipality, the capture of excellent specimens of ready to be launched in areas selected by the experience of the oldest lepraioli of the section, and excellent pheasants caught in the ZRC La Chiusa. The provincial president illustrated in an impeccable way the hunting calendar for the next hunting season. The delegate of ATC MC1, has thoroughly justified the increase of the membership fee of the same. Finally, the councilor Paolo Renna illustrated to the whole assembly the new project of the NATURE TRAIL that the Municipality has put in place for the next 2024. There were many perplexities from the hunters, but the councilor demonstrated, map in hand, the very little impact of the NATURE TRAIL on the area that can be hunted, focusing attention on the many disused sheep tracks, which the Municipality will clean up, allowing them, where possible, to be used by the hunters themselves. In addition, the veteran hunters and the new hunter of the year were recognized with a certificate. The assembly then gave way to a debate between guests and hunters, at the end of which a snack based on sandwiches with porchetta, sweets and homemade wine followed (source: FIDC).
