“We are forced to reply to the exponent of the You, Mrs. Corsi, in relation to the article appeared on the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno of today, concerning i wolves in Salento. As usual, the exponent of the environmentalists, expresses herself with annoyance, towards the initiatives of the hunters, convinced that the mouth of truth assists the prophets and philosophers of nature, every time they speak. Unfortunately this false and erroneous environmentalism is only leading damage to the territory, with immense spaces placed under protection and left to themselves, different animal species removed from a reasoned hunting collection and multiplied indefinitely, with immense damage to human activities, first and foremost agricultural production, which has been cut down and not compensated.
This way of seeing the environment is of no use to anyone and is now out of any logic of protection and management of the territory, which does not mean embalming it at all. In the case of wolves, we are facing an alarming phenomenon, which is necessary face with courage and common sense. In our humble opinion, reasoning accompanied by common sense, by now becomes increasingly alien to the radical environmentalist fringes, accustomed to filling their mouths, invoking at all costs the neminem laedere, without ever providing shareable solutions. And the community is realizing this, proving increasingly reluctant towards an environmentalism of convenience.
The authorities in charge and certainly not the hunters, they will have to take care of the wolves and the sterile auspices and sermons of the environmentalists will not be enough, but decisive measures will be needed whatever the environmentalists say. As for these bad hunters, they will continue in their meritorious work, aimed at discovering polluting sites, removing rubble and debris, extinguish fires, in addition to a measured withdrawal of species, hammered by the appeals of environmentalists such as Vas, admitted to free legal aid at the expense of Italian citizens, environmentalists that we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting in the territories affected by the aforementioned problems solved by hunters"(Avv. Giovanni Ciccarese Regional President Federcaccia Puglia).
