Comforting news
The recent meeting between the regional president of Federcaccia Toscana–Tuscan Hunters Union Marco Salvadori and the president of Migliarino-S.Rossore-Massaciuccoli Park dr. Lorenzo Bani, held last January 30, recorded important signs of willingness on the part of the Institution to carry on a constructive and respectful comparison of the legitimate requests of the hunting world. No prejudicial position by the Park and its president, on the involvement of hunters and their representatives, in the participatory process already underway. A path destined to lengthen, before reaching the definitive approval of the proposal and which has already highlighted concerns and reservations on a possible expansion of the Park and on the potential limitations on hunting activity, in areas of particular value and interest for the various forms hunting practiced and for the number of hunters who frequent them.
Last week's meeting
The meeting, which arose following the grievances and requests that also emerged in the last assembly held last week in Marina di Pisa which recorded the participation of over 250 hunters from citizens and institutions, in fact made it possible to prepare all the necessary cognitive and technical insights on the areas affected by the proposal and on the real perimeter under discussion.
Future steps
The comparison process already undertaken will continue in the next few days, with further steps being scheduled. Our association, immediately, invites all interested hunters to participate in the next assembly called for February 10, 2023 at the Manzoni Theater in Massarosa (LU). The regional and provincial managers will focus on the critical issues concerning the territories of the Lucchese side as well as providing information on any further updates concerning this delicate matter.
