The last Saturday the conference on the next regional wildlife hunting plan organized by The Tuscan Regional Authority in collaboration with Federcaccia Toscana. A large participation and the qualified interventions of the speakers, on which we will be able to return in the next few days with in-depth and detailed press releases, characterized the development of this important moment of confrontation which did not betray the expectations starting from what will be the contents and the strategies of the new PFVR.
During her introductory speech, the Vice President forcefully recalled the spirit of this initiative, thus also responding to the sterile controversies of recent days. The will of the Region is to start a process of comparison on the subject which, also thanks to the work carried out in recent months, will lead to the approval of a new modern and advanced instrument. A renewed ambition to govern not only hunting, but also land management in full harmony with the agricultural activities of our Region. Stefania Saccardi then also recalled the recent provisions and passages with which the Region has guaranteed hunting activity in recent months: from the regional calendar that resisted the TAR and the Council of State, up to the recent modification of the 48r regulation, recalling finally the positive experience of the Cav for the affirmation of the principle of subsidiarity of the services also for the hunting activity.
During his speech, the President of Federcaccia Toscana UCT Marco Salvadori outlined the lines and the main proposals and evaluations of the association. A precise list of the main objectives which for Federcaccia Toscana UCT must be included in the final proposal which will then be submitted to the procedure established by law. "Our main objective - said Salvadori - is to stimulate a constructive and open discussion on the subject, overcoming delays and encouraging the start of a long and complex process". Positions also taken up by the intervention of the National President of Federcaccia Massimo Buconi who declared: “Federcaccia stands with the hunters and our farmers because we live the reality and the difficulties of rural life every day. It is therefore necessary to combine the themes of biodiversity and environmental quality also with the reasons of those who 'work and live there', overcoming the sterile and animal rights polemics we witness every day”.
These are just a few flashes of a conference full of contents and ideas for the future thanks to the qualifying interventions of the institutional representatives and the Tuscan agricultural world present. We therefore want to invite those who "felt out" to bring their own contribution on the subject as we did at Federcaccia Toscana UCT. In fact, our work and our commitment are not for a single Association, but for all Tuscan hunters (The FIdC-UCT Secretariat).
