Tomorrow's event
On Wednesday 8 February, in the Hall of Honor of CONI at the Foro Italico, there will be a conference promoted by the trust (Italian Federation of Hunting Sport Weapons Disciplines) entitled "DOG ATHLETE - THE STATUS OF DOG-ATHLETE AND THE PROTECTION OF ITS WELL-BEING". The works will be broadcast starting at 10.30 on the Fidasc federal website at the following link: https://www.fidasc.it/it/news/40-news-federali/5835-cane-athlete-lo-status-di-cane -athlete-and-the-tutela-del-suo-benessere.html, and on the Federal Facebook page at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/events/505798678388790/.
Technical-scientific debate
The speeches and contributions of the meeting, which focus on a very topical general theme such as that of animal welfare, will also, and above all, unfold on the figure that is still new and little debated from a technical-scientific point of view in some respects , of the "athlete dog". A subject, therefore, understood not only as a simple sporting "tool" but precisely as a co-interpreter, together with the athlete-man, of an extraordinary myriad of competitive activities which, while equaling the charm of those practiced with the horse, have the pleasant peculiarity of being infinitely more numerous and varied. The conference, which benefits from the patronage of the MINISTRY OF SPORT, CONI NATIONAL, SPORT AND HEALTH, the CONI REGIONAL COMMITTEE OF LAZIO and the MUNICIPALITY OF ROME, makes use of the scientific collaboration of ORTOVET (Orthopaedics and Veterinary Traumatology) and CVRS (Policlinico of Veterinary Sports Medicine).
Sports dog lovers
The conference, moderated by Dr. Maria Luisa Cocozza, journalist and presenter of the Canale 5 program "L'Arca di Noè", will be opened by the president of Fidasc, Prof. Felice Aniello Buglione and after the interventions of political and sporting authorities, including that of Dr. Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth, will be based on a series of technical-scientific reports of great interest. The conference, in fact, represents for Fidasc and for the entire, vast world of sporting dogs, a real starting point for a wide-ranging action, even international, which can find a constructive synergy between all the subjects who operate in this context (source: FIDASC).
