The type of intervention intends to intervene to reduce the consequences of natural disasters of a biotic nature such as category A diseases in farmed animals. Pig farms
This disease, which represents a serious threat to the affected animal population, seriously affects the profitability of the pig livestock sector and therefore also significantly affects the productivity of the agricultural sector. Among pig farms, the Casertana pig breed, an indigenous genetic type (TGA), is particularly vulnerable, which is to be counted among the limited-diffusion animal breeds registered in the Registry Registers and, therefore, worthy of protection (source: Campania Region).
