The regional section of the Campania ofGame Producers Authority has decided to write to the Region about the damage caused to wildlife from fires and drought. Just today, Tuesday 8 August 2017, there will be an important meeting at theCentral Office for Forests and Hunting. Meanwhile, EPS Campania wanted to clarify how the plague of the fires is damaging the whole community, depriving it of agro-forestry-pastoral territory and degrading the landscape.
Furthermore, various hunting associations are active in the field of Civil Protection to guard the same territory. However, there has been some precipitation and the wildlife water supply has begun. The dates of the various hunting withdrawals, then, are compatible with the resolution of the emergency. The hope is that there is prevention and not demagogy.
Today's meeting, in fact, seems more like a ratification, so much so that it seems that the provincial territorial services have already started the procedure foreseen by thearticle 19 of the National Hunting Law. However, EPS will not be present, remaining available for a possible meeting on the matter and in the hope that common sense prevails over sterile controversy and propaganda.
