Last August 23th around 17,30 pm it was sighted by some hunters of the Section Federcaccia of Amalfi un outbreak of fire in the locality of Vettica. Promptly alerted, the Fire Brigade and the Mountain Community intervened and managed in a very short time to tame the flames and bring the area back to normal. In the past few years the same area has been crossed by fire and it took many hours and sometimes a few days to put out the flames. This is further proof that the support of the Hunters is essential for the control of the territory and the maintenance of ecosystems.
The interest of the hunting world is not just sampling because without habitat there is no possibility of wild species survival. In inaccessible and difficult to reach places, the contribution of those who, like hunters, know the territories with heart and know how to move to cross the thick scrub that covers the ground is essential.
A huge thank you goes to the tireless work of the Fire fighters and the mountain community, always ready to intervene during these periods of total emergency, because it is only thanks to them that irreparable disasters can often be avoided, as in this case (Source: Hunting Federation).
