The dream of Paralympic Shooting continues its ride towards transformation into reality and it is hoped that Italian shooters will soon be part of the leading team of the Paralympics.
This is exactly the hope launched by the President of Fitav Luciano Rossi at the end of his speech during the National Council of the Italian Paralympic Committee, which took place in Rome on November 30th.
After informing the Council, chaired by Luca Pancalli, about the important developments that have seen our sport as protagonist in the year that is about to end, first of all the important contacts we had with the Paralympic Defense Group and participation in promotional events promoted by the CIP, Rossi reported on the international event attended by 58 shooters representing 14 countries.
The International Grand Prix, organized by FITAV in September with the investment of significant resources, brought IPC Shooting officials from the United States and Bonn to Italy, making them work closely with all the staff who are carrying out the Paralympic Project, entrusted to FITAV by the IPC itself and by the ISSF.
Precisely in the ISSF Workshop, held in Munich in November, Fitav presented a report on the "state of the work" of the Project which, in all likelihood, will obtain historic international recognition at the beginning of next year. , prelude to the inclusion of skeet shooting in the Paralympic sports program.
At the end of his speech, Rossi wished the best success to the Italian Paralympic team that will leave next year for Rio, with the hope of being able to contribute directly to winning the medal to write glorious pages in the history of Italian Paralympic sport.
