Luciano rossi he was re-elected President of Fitav during the Assembly held today in the Hall of Honor of the CONI at the Foro Italico with 338 votes out of 346 entitled to vote (equal to 97,69% of the votes cast, 8 blank ballots, equal to 2,31%).
Defense of companies
“I am happy – the first words of the President – and I thank everyone. Our movement is united and highly motivated. Today 92% of those entitled to vote were present and having obtained almost 98% of the consensus, with a secret ballot, gratifies me and motivates me to give my all to defend our Societies that are always faced with many obstacles to operate and that to manage must comply with a thousand obligations and overcome many difficulties: but united we will move forward. When I was elected President of the ISSF, the International Shooting Federation, I was received by Thomas Bach, the President of the IOC, who informed me that at that time we were out of the Los Angeles Games. I was not discouraged: I started traveling, holding meetings, video conferences, uniting forces and people. In the end we will be in Los Angeles and I believe that we will still have to do, compete and, I am sure, win again. Our sport has a very Italian matrix, in terms of materials, equipment, technique, but also and above all in terms of the spirit of us Italians to find the strength and energy to overcome difficulties and limits.”
