Fiocchi Hunting Cartridges Tundra line, outstanding performance and low environmental impact

Hunting cartridges: This line of cartridges from Fiocchi, intended for hunting aquatic animals, ensures high performance in respect of the environment and of the regulations in force in the hunting field.

Tundra shot, a heavy polymer-based material, has a minimal environmental impact. Suitable for all types of chokes, the cartridges of the Tundra line do not require “steel banked” barrels. What distinguishes a company from another is not only the products, but also the vision that the latter has in the long term.

In recent years, many naturalist and environmentalist associations have complained about what they call the environmental impact caused by hunters, when they shoot their own cartridges and do not hit the target.

Unsuccessful cartridges disperse a certain amount of lead shot as the shot pattern loses power and falls to the ground.
In order to reduce this environmental impact caused by the pellets fired by hunters, Fiocchi has turned its attention to a project that saw the light in American factories.

After careful studies to find a new material that can be used for the production of cartridges, Fiocchi has arrived at the new material called Tundra.

Specifically, it is a pellet in heavy material on a polymer base, the latter fairly soft and fireable in all weapons, both new and dated. The Tundra material, produced overseas, is offered on the market in two different densities of 9,0 and 12,5 gr./cmc. and loaded in special cartridges on specific request of Fiocchi, which is the only distributor in the European continent.

The Tundra line of cartridges is based on a revolutionary polymer-based compound, being designed for hunting aquatic in respect of the environment and current regulations.

To better meet the needs of hunters, the Tundra line is available in two distinct versions: the first with damaging power and a level of deformability equal to lead; the other version has stopping powers even higher than lead. The novelty of the Tundra line also lies in the fact that these cartridges do not require the assembly of “banked steel” barrels and can be used with all types of chokes.

This line of Fiocchi cartridges is divided into:

? TUNDRA 32, with 12/70/16 case, weight 32, number of shot 4 it, speed 400 (expressed in m / sec), pressure developed of 600 bar, suitable for medium and long distance shots
? TUNDRA 35, with 12/70/22 case, weight 35, number of shot 2 it, speed 400 (expressed in mt / sec), developed pressure of 620 bar, suitable for long distance shooting
? TUNDRA EXTRA HP 35, with 12/70/27 case, weight 35, number of shot 5 it, speed 400 (expressed in mt / sec), pressure developed of 740 bar, suitable for long distance shots, in very cold weather
? TUNDRA EXTRA 28, with 20/70/16 case, weight 28, number of shot 5 it, speed 400 (expressed in mt / sec), developed pressure of 792 bar, suitable for long distance shots, in very cold weather

The whole Tundra line is aimed at hunting aquatic ducks, such as greater ducks (mallard and pochard), lesser ducks, teal, garganey and coot.
