The duration of the contract
La Flakes Ammunition was chosen by the Spanish Guardia Civil for the official supply of ammunition for the rifles supplied to the Iberian gendarmerie corps. We are talking about 5,56 and 7,62 mm ammunition, with the contract having a total duration of three years. Wanting to be even more precise, there are two lots envisaged in this case.
The cartridges in detail
The first, that of 5,56 mm ammunition, has a total amount of 5,44 million euros, while the others are just under 3 million. The ammunition will also be shipped in three installments until 2026. Other numbers can make the deal just concluded better understood: the Guardia Civil will be able to have at least 2,5 million 5,56 mm Fiocchi cartridges and another 650 thousand 7,62 mm cartridges every year.
The other companies involved
The tender began a year ago and the offer from the Lecco company was higher than those presented by the companies Integración Tecnológica Empresarial (ITE) and Omena Technologies, representative in Spain of the Brazilian CBC. Another offer, that of Nammo Palencia, was rejected at the beginning of the negotiations.
