A highly anticipated event
Hunting Village, which has always been a promoter of hunting music, will host the "Earth of Italy" Bagpipe Group for the first time. So in this 2023, the Celtic music of the Scottish Bagpipes will be added to the South Tyrolean Hunting Horns Group to evoke the sounds related to hunting in the Irish Celtic world. Earth of Italy is a band of Bagpipes and Drums which, as the name suggests, was born from a group of passionate musicians from many regions of Northern and Central Italy. During concerts the band perform a rich repertoire of traditional and contemporary Scottish songs, along with others of their own composition.
Great sound impact
All this goes to form a performance of great sound and visual impact, suggestive and poetic, which makes any occasion unforgettable: Itinerant Concerts, Sporting Events, Holidays, Fairs and Festivals, Weddings, Company Meetings, White Nights, Band Gatherings, Historical Re-enactments and so much more. Alongside the concert activity, the band organizes Scottish bagpipe and snare drum courses open to students of all ages and levels. The beginner-intermediate course is held by Roberto Arrabito and Chiara Temporin, teachers who trained with Alberto Massi and who obtained the certification as PDQB Tutor at the National Piping Center in Glasgow. The course includes 9 meetings of 4 hours each at the Nonantola site, where each student will be placed in a small working group (3-4 people) of a homogeneous level.
Courses and more
The advanced course is conducted by Alberto Massi, the only certified Senior Teacher in Italy and a pre-eminent figure in the Italian piping panorama. The course includes 9 meetings of 4 hours each in small groups (3-4 people) in which particular emphasis will be given to the refinement of the techniques, the interpretation of the various types of piece, the progressive immersion in the pibroch, the fine setting and the accurate tuning of the instrument. The snare drum course, held by Maestro Mauro Pambianchi, will guide the students in learning the Scottish snare drum from the most basic notions up to the refinement of the technique and interpretation, a didactic offer further enriched by the possibility of practicing together with the rest of the drum corp. The operational headquarters of the band and music courses is the city of Nonantola (MO), at the Officine Musicali music school in Piazza Ilaria Alpi, 1.
