A local farmer turned to the TAR about his possibility of defend the land owned by wild boars, so widespread in the northern region (and beyond). In a nutshell, theATC (Territorial Hunting Area) had said no in this sense, but the Court thought otherwise, considering how not legitimate this prohibition.
In practice, the farmer can defend himself from ungulates for a very specific reason: urgency in safeguarding the areas used for cultivation and protecting the final harvest. A forgetfulness of the Ligurian ATC would also have weighed in the judgment, since the no was not accompanied by any minutes. L'wild boar emergency it concerns, with different but always considerable dimensions, the whole country, consequently such a pronunciation can only make a difference.
