After the story of the pensioner who ended up in handcuffs for having guarded the weapons of her deceased husband without communicating the change of ownership, the local news tells another particular story. A 46-year-old hunter living in the province of Biella has forgotten his own shotgun on the roof of the car at the end of a joke in the Vercelli area.
It was a 12 gauge Beretta semiautomatic with barrel and when the man left he remembered leaving it on top of the car and he went back to retrieve the weapon. The rifle was no longer present on the spot, disappeared and certainly fell to the ground. The 46-year-old then informed the Carabinieri of the local station of the fact and a referral was made against him for omitted custody of weapons. The case is similar to that which occurred earlier this year.
In January, in fact, a 79-year-old was always denounced by the Carabinieri for having placed the shotgun on the roof, managing to keep it from falling for a good stretch of the way. In that case the old man was the protagonist of a sudden maneuver that caused the weapon to drop, but he realized what had happened only after he had parked.
