The scope of the Burris FourX is of the new generation type, that is, it is part of that sector of precision optics called illuminated. This optic is able to ensure high performance, thanks to the new light management patent.
The new generation of Burris optics feature a new advanced design and very fast reticle illumination, in order to better adapt to the different light conditions surrounding the hunter. The FourX riflescope provides optical performance virtually equivalent to that of ultra-premium riflescopes, as they are designed with the new patented light management system;
in addition, precision optical glasses with multi-coating HiLume protection are installed on the FourX, which affects the entire surface of the lenses, thus obtaining extremely precise, clear and sharp images. The new FourX riflescopes guarantee the hunter extraordinary and valuable results, in terms of success on a hunting trip. From a mechanical and optical point of view, the FourX, in some particular light circumstances, manages to surpass even the performance of the most expensive spotting scopes in the world.
The magnification index is equal to 4x, with a relevant focal distance of 8,9 cm - 10 cm. The adjustments have been installed in a clearly visible way, in order to offer the hunter maximum comfort, as they are adjustable and resettable with a single finger.
The deep knurls on the adjustment ring, the latter of easy grip and integrated
with the eyepieces, it participates in the creation of the simplicity of use of this optic.
Eyepieces with integrated focus also feature a comfortable rubber grip on the adjustment ring. The FourX optics adopts the battery saving system and mode, with automatic shutdown after 2 hours of inactivity.
The reticle is located on the second focal plane, a characteristic which indicates that the size of the reticle remains fixed with all magnifications, guaranteeing a more scrupulous aim.
It is possible to apply a flip-up cap for lenses on this optic, in order to protect the eyepiece. The reticle illumination occurs with a quick adjustment: easy to understand and simple to adjust with a rotary knob. All this guarantees a fast response time and manual brightness adjustment, for a transition from low light to daylight in 11 levels.
The task of the integrated adjustment ring and eyepiece is to provide ease and speed of use and diopter adjustment that cannot be accidentally misaligned when changing magnification. Someone, however, after this list of features of the FourX, will be wondering: what is an illuminated optic? The latter consists of an illuminated aiming cross (generally green or red) for which it is possible to adjust the different illumination intensities as in classic red dot / acog / eotech. In low light conditions (not at night), such a scope will be able to assist a hunter when aiming. In fact, the illumination of the optics will significantly shorten the aiming and aiming times of the target, allowing a significant saving of those fractions of a second that can change the course of a hunting trip.
Technological progress is showing us that hunting will undergo, hopefully for the better, a series of innovations with the aim of obtaining better results in terms of success. In any case, a hunter can have at his disposal the best accessories in the world installed on his rifle, but the latter will not be enough if you do not have the instinct and experience.
The Burris FourX is therefore aimed at that hunter who wishes to try new hunting techniques, through the use of optics that will allow him very fast aiming and optimal image quality of the target, even in low light conditions.
