We are in closing times, from every point of view, and not only of hunting: we too are imprisoned for one of those events that no one would have imagined could happen in our times. In the meantime, let's keep thinking about tomorrow and caressing with our minds what will happen in the near future when, we hope, we will return to a normal situation. For many, the ideal of hunting sees the danger to the king of the scrub, often brought to the ground by the black beast and not only by a post: it is a real, hard, difficult, sometimes dangerous hunt and for this reason it unleashes adrenaline and that sense of fearless determination to act. The spaces in which we move, or rather we try to move, are often narrow, between the branches, the thorns and everything that the vegetation creates in order to make life difficult for those who, as a stranger, want to fit into the a context which, on the other hand, is the ideal of the big boars that often barricade themselves there, countering the attacks of the dogs with determination and fangs.
In these conditions it is almost crucial to have a shotgun that combines different characteristics and if we look at the Franchi Feeling Slug over-under we will be able to enumerate them. First evidence: weight of 2.500 g thanks to the Ergal action frame and the two overlapping barrels 55 cm long, chambered in 12/76 punched gauge steelshot, drilling at 18,3 and 18,5 mm with fixed chokes Cyl./***. Basically two quick and safe shots are guaranteed with extreme maneuverability, the receiver of the two-barrel is much shorter than the carcass of a semiautomatic, energy at a short distance amply sufficient, but above all very expendable in terms of lethality considering the large section and the considerable weight of the bullet combined with its unexasperated speed. The instinctive harness is ensured by the pistol grip stock, in harmony with the single trigger, and by the ergonomic shaft in Grade 2 walnut, oil finished, with a 57/36 fold and a 368 mm loop; the checkering of the guy All-round 3D interlacement ensures excellent grip even with wet or muddy hands; the double-vented rubber buttplate guarantees correct positioning on the shoulder, appropriately softening the recoil sensation.
The aiming line uses a 7 mm half rib on which the rear sights are inserted and the red fiber optic front sight, adjustable and mounted on the base. The Feeling Slug is available in the version with manual or automatic extractors and on request it is possible to have it with double trigger and left-handed stock.
Like any product Franchi has a seven-year guarantee on the mechanical parts.
