Franchi Food Academy Contest, the culinary competition that rewards game dishes

Also this year #foodacademycontest is back, the photographic competition born from the collaboration between Franchi Food Academy and Caccia Passione. Participating is as always free and is possible until 12 September 2023.

#foodacademycontest is the cooking competition created by Passion hunting e Franchi Food Academy to reward the best game recipes. A fun and delicious way to bring the flavors and emotions of the hunting culture to the table, to propose dishes that everyone can make at home (even non-connoisseurs of this world), and to promote a nutritious, healthy and above all sustainable cuisine.

What happens if one of the most important portals dedicated to hunting meets one of the excellent Italian companies that promotes the mix of passion for hunting and food? A greedy and appetizing contest!

Passion hunting kicked off the contest again this year “Cook, shoot, win!” created in collaboration with the Franchi Food Academy, an interesting initiative carried out by the historic arms manufacturer with the aim of enhancing game meat, spreading hunting culture as much as possible and bringing its flavors to the table. It doesn't take much to become a game chef for a day: all you have to do is prepare your recipe, take a photo of your dish, upload the photo to the contest website contest.cacciapassione.com e send the text of the recipe via email a: [email protected]. If you want you can too share it on Instagram tagging @franchifoodacademy and inserting the hashtag #foodacademycontest, the more visibility your recipe has and the greater the chances of winning one of the dedicated prizes. Food Academy Contest: how to participate in the culinary competition

Are you of age, do you live in Italy and are you passionate about cooking and/or game? Then this contest could be the next one you definitely want to participate in! You will be able to take part in the #foodacademycontest competition by registering for free on the site contest.cacciapassione.com from 12 May 2023 to 12 September 2023 and show everyone your mastery of cooking and game.

Once on the portal, you just have to follow the instructions and enter the required data to fill out the participation form and officially become part of this great culinary event. At this point you just have to cook your dish and upload the photo of your recipe based on game by inserting an original unretouched photo, without signatures or logos, of which you can only improve, possibly and only slightly, exposure, contrast and colors. The photo of the dish must be with a white background and of good quality.

You will also have to write a small presentation of your dish and a description of its preparation to be sent by email to [email protected] so that it may also appear on the Food Academy website. In the email, remember to include the ingredients, the preparation procedure, the type of dish, the level of difficulty and the preparation time.

In the making of your dish you will be able to give free rein to your imagination and your creativity as a chef, remembering however that salmì, traditional stews and non-vacuum marinades longer than three hours are prohibited.

By registering for the contest you will not only be able to participate with your dish, but also vote for your favorite photos by clicking on the heart icon in each image and share the competing recipe on social networks so as to present it to their followers who will in turn be able to vote for the dish on the site. In fact, remember that only the votes cast on contest.cacciapassione.com can be considered valid.

The prizes up for grabs and the two categories

The competition has two categories:

Technical Jury category, where a jury of experts will select two of the winning dishes
Heart category, where the winning pot will be the one that gets the most hearts and therefore the most votes on the site https://concorso.cacciapassione.com/

The dishes in the first category will be submitted to the jury by 30 September 2023 who will evaluate all the recipes and identify the winners based on the interest of the recipe in all its parts (ingredients, originality, etc.), its presentation and its being perfectly related to the theme of sustainable hunting.

I prizes up for grabs for the Technical Jury category are:

a participation voucher for a 4-hour cooking course of the Franchi Food Academy and the publication of the dish in the recipe book of the same for the winner;
a chef jacket signed by the Franchi Food Academy and the publication of the dish in the recipe book of the same for the runner-up.

As for the second category, also in this case the winner will receive the voucher to participate in the 4-hour cooking course of the Franchi Food Academy and the publication of the dish in the recipe book.

How will you know if you are the lucky winner? Simple! You will be contacted at the email address you provided at least 15 days before the assignment of the prize which you will have to collect within the established times and in the manner that will be communicated to you. In any case, the award ceremony is scheduled for 15 October 2023 and you can participate either in person or via online videoconference.
