The National Free Hunting Association disagrees with the conclusions of the Club della Beccaccia and Beccacciai d'Italia about the principles of a “specialist” hunting for woodcock which, however, have generated protests from the hunting world.
“The conference held in Lazise sul Garda last 12 May designed the architecture of the“ specialist ”woodcock hunting. The basis was laid by the two specialized associations Club della Beccaccia and Beccacciai d'Italia who decided to take joint steps for concrete action to protect the species and its sustainable hunting. " The "conclusions" of the conference with its article published in the magazine BECCACCIA CHE PASSIONE 2013 N.4, generated numerous protests from the hunting world. Nothing bad if the two clubs limited themselves to research on the phenology of the species, to the recovery of wooded environments, to trying to recapture the huntable spaces unjustly precluded at times by useless parks, to the analysis of data on migrations to have an exact certainty of when not to intervene with the hunting collection in the pre-nuptial phase, but here we have fairly consolidated "truths", on the one hand the national kc provides for the closure of the hunt on January 10th, with the overlapping decade we arrive at 20, on the other National legislation provides for the deadline to be January 31st.
The hunting world in recent years has supported and is sustaining strong legal battles, at the various Italian TARs, for the correct application of the European legislation, today confirmed by the European Commission, it is also promoting studies, even with technologically advanced methods, to deepen knowledge. on the species; it was not enough to have to "fight" with environmental associations, today we find ourselves having to discuss even within our own home! Continuing to read, the readers allow us, the "managerial amenities with the dubious result" of the two clubs, which have the presumption of wanting to impose, on the generic hunting world, absurd limitations that have nothing to do with the correct management of the species, but they are only prohibitions, if you prohibit you must not manage, it is also interesting to note that the two clubs make no mention of the fact that thanks to the numerous protected areas dedicated to the species, the same enjoys an excellent protection regime, and that one one of the biggest problems is to insist on the hunting activity continuously in increasingly narrow spaces, is it not that someone wants to try in an opportunistic way with absurd limitations to remain, in hunting terms, an exclusive user of the few remaining free territories?
It is funny to note that these "scientists", having nothing to do, even seeking the approval of Ispra, or perhaps they were looking for a pat on the back of how eco-compatible they are, as if 157 were not already a management law and mitigation of hunting. Or are you not sure if this is the case? But let's come to us, From November 1st to January 31st, the whole hunting world, generic, should adapt to go hunting from 8,00 to 16,00. In fact, you are saying that illegal mail is a well-established practice practiced by most hunters and therefore serves as exemplary punishment, have we all become poachers?
We do not consider ourselves as such! Not knowing the exact phenomenon of mail and, how much it can negatively affect the species, moreover reclassified as stable (Wetland 2006, Delany 2009), with the European management plan not renewed following the same reclassification in 2009 does not authorize you to make similar allegations. You want to have training courses for the collection of Piarist Acid in a specialized form (sic!) You go through the censuses and biological measurements on the species, but what is the difference between a woodcock in December and one in January? None! Why should you force yourself to take a course to hunt her 20 days in January? What is the "scientific thesis" that supports this bizarre idea?
The 157 already provides for the ban on hunting the morning and evening woodcock post, the Regions, in the expression of the administrative act of the hunting calendar, provide times after the other species and, the collection generally begins at 8,00 to end half hour before sunset. What about the suspension of the hunting card for two hunting seasons in case of crime fragrance. If you want to ban hunting before 8,00 what is the use? We will say to reinsert the death penalty, in case of post to woodcock!
The ANLC legislative technical office strongly stigmatizes this type of approach to the management problems of woodcock, the forms of hunting present to date, in our country, must be protected in all their expressions, there are no series A or series B hunts, there are the laws that regulate hunting and those in our opinion must be enforced.
