The conference on February 1st
For those hunters who don't know (and unfortunately they are not few), I'm talking about the absence of the recognized hunting associations: Federcaccia, Enalcaccia, Italcaccia and EPS, at the very important conference held on 1 February at the European Parliament in Brussels. Certainly not a meeting just to spend a day, but an international conference organized by the Commissions for the Environment, Oceans, Fisheries and Agriculture, entitled "The positive role of the huhters in protecting EU's biodiversity". of European biodiversity). Well, despite the truly "revolutionary" topic, the authority of the organizers and the significant presence of the Honorable Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, the vast majority of the recognized hunting associations, except the Free Hunt, they turned away, as if it didn't interest them in the slightest.
Reasons not understandable
Since I don't see any other reasons (logistical, economic or scientific) to justify this sensational and conspicuous absence, and since I am a hunting manager who comes from the hunting base and, like my Association, I am neither "branded" nor sponsored by this or that political alignment, the only reason that seems plausible to me is, unfortunately, the political one. And I cannot help but remember what happened way back on 16 and 17 May 2003 when, on the initiative of the Government and organized by the then Minister of Agricultural and Forestry Policies Hon. Alemanno, the "First International Conference on the Management of Wildlife Resources" was organized in Venice. ”.
A serious fault
Even in that case something similar happened and, with the inexplicable organizational support of a hunting association that I won't name but that everyone knows well, a disruptive counter-meeting was even organized which had a lacerating effect on the Italian hunting world. As we can see, history repeats itself, with new and old interpreters of hunting leaders who subordinate the general interests of hunters to those of their political group of reference. Forgetting that when it comes to defending hunting and hunters there should be neither the right nor the left. A serious fault that Italian hunters would do well to remember (source: ANLC).
