The ironic appeal of the National Free Hunting Association to stop the Region and Provinces from introducing game in the winter period did not help; "Winter Hunting Olympics".
The ironic but convinced appeal to delay the introduction of game from BREEDING in climatically critical periods and in municipalities that are currently still covered with snow was of no use ... on February 15th and 16th (in anticipation of more snowfalls), Gray Partridges and Partridges and the hunters, instead of deserting the appeal to volunteer issued by the ATC in protest, will be waiting as always for trucks and "boxed groups" of game.
It is only to be hoped that the volunteers, appropriately infringing the rules, house the game in well-equipped fences or aviaries and then release it in periods more favorable to their survival, thus sending a strong and clear signal to those who continue undeterred to "burn" the proceeds from our hunting taxes. We are curious to know who and what this time the ATCs will charge for the perennial lack of game in the area ... if only the unsustainable presence of opportunistic and harmful species for which we have been asking the institutions unheard for years for containment interventions with killing even in "closed hunting ”Or, for once and with courage, to its own lack of planning and management of fauna and territory.
We will wait and see, always convinced that if someone tells us they saw Partridges and Partridges happy to ride their snow-covered slopes on the "sled", we will be ready to make amends and say "we were wrong again". In the meantime, the Regional and Provincial Hunting Departments and their respective competent Offices are watching.
