Wildlife and containment
After the usual hysterical and unmotivated protests and threats from the most extremist part of Italian animalism, finally our country has equipped itself with a rigorous and scientific Wildlife Containment Plan. In fact, just today, at the State-Regions Conference, an agreement was reached on the adoption of the extraordinary plan which will make it possible to erect a valid barrier to the spread of African swine fever, which would represent a disastrous economic as well as a health and environmental.
The role of Lollobrigida
At the same time, an agreement was also reached on the reconstitution - after more than a decade - of the National Technical Faunistic Hunting Committee (CTFVN), which will allow for a leaner and more agile management of the countless and complex environmental problems, as well as a correct organization of the activity hunting. It took the constancy and courage of the new Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, to overcome the ideological barrier of vetoes which has always blocked regular "governance" of wildlife, increasingly numerous and very often allochthonous and harmful to biodiversity.
A fruitful dialogue
While La Libera Caccia welcomes this important step forward, it hopes that, finally, a concrete and fruitful dialogue can be established with all the actors involved: farmers, breeders, environmentalists and hunters without foreclosures and prejudices of an ideological nature (source : National Free Hunting Association).
