Mr Mara Piccin, regional councilor of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Forza Italia), has made known the latest news on hunting in this area: "We welcome, once again satisfied, a decision that confirms that our request for hunting was common sense and in compliance with the law, despite certain politics and certain associations, which proclaim itself environmentalist and animal rights activist, had to complain about it. We asked the council three months ago to officially clarify that hunting was allowed in the belonging hunting reserve and, therefore, allowing travel by derogation outside the Municipality of residence.
The Region has clarified that in orange zone, as communicated by the prefect of Trieste, it is allowed to move to a municipality other than that of residence in order to carry out hunting activities on the wild boar species and to give implementation of withdrawals in derogation regularly granted.
The hunting exercise can be carried out from 5 to 22, subject to possession of the regional card for thehunting year 2021-22 and that the admission game reserve is equipped with the regulation of use which identifies the timing introduced by the Council resolution of the last 26 February, approved by the hunting district. The hunting activity must be framed among the reasons of necessity that involve the displacement, as it is aimed at limit damage to crops, mitigate the potential danger to public safety and to achieve wildlife balance. Hunting is an activity that can be carried out in full compliance with anti-contagion measures ".
