"Federcaccia Bergamo is at the forefront of the "boar question" -these are the words of the President of Bergamo Michele Bornaghi-. Consider that about 70 hunters, waiting to take the exam, have attended the course for the qualification to hunt in pursuit. Regarding the selection this year, following the course of 90 hours promoted by Federcaccia, more than 60 ungulate hunters have received the qualification. Given the demand and the new regional regulations, this autumn they will start other qualifying courses for hunting, selection, as well as control; service that we will give to all hunters, characterized by the usual professionalism and competence of our speakers.
The Region is expected to introduce the possibility of taking the qualification exam for the boar selection hunt only, in order to organize a specific course and consequently less time-consuming for hunters. The upcoming hunting season, already regulated, foresees 14 selection hunters: for the 2020/2021 season it is desirable to open a discussion with the interested parties in order to arrive at a culling plan that you protect the forms of boar hunting and the hunters themselves, as subjects actually capable of coping with containment "
