There are four days of one of the most anticipated festivals in Cilento, that of hazelnut and wild boar which takes place at Gaian, fraction of the municipality of Fisciano (in the province of Salerno). The event has reached its thirty-second edition, a detail that underlines the success it has met over time. The event will be held in the Campania region from 1st to 4th September next and will have as protagonists, as you can easily guess from the name, the tasty fruit and the flesh of the ungulate.
The organization will be managed by Cultural Circle "Gerardo Pecoraro", but what can be tasted specifically? The festival menu includes hazelnut-based desserts, fusilli with wild boar sauce cooked in a small pan, fried wild boar stew with pupacchiola, stewed wild boar stew (the recipe in question involves the use of white wine and various spices), Costa Rican and wild boar sausage with a side of green local salad.
There will be coffee and tastings of hazelnut-based liqueur. Each day of the festival, then, will be accompanied by excellent live music. The appointment is therefore one of the unmissable ones, a late summer event that promises to satisfy even the most demanding palate.
