At the 2012 Game Fair there is a large space dedicated to horses of all races, including the Friesian, the optimal combination of strength and docile temperament.
The Friesian horse is one of the oldest equine breeds in Europe. it is a breed native to Holland, to be precise from the Friesland region and is famous for its characteristic always dark coat and its thick, often wavy hair. It is a strong, robust and powerful horse, used in the past for war purposes but also the ideal horse for trekking, walking, dressage and all equestrian sports. Splendid specimens of Friesian horses will be admired at the Game Fair 2012, from 1 to 3 June in Tarquinia (VT).
The Friesian horse is part of one of the oldest breeds, dating back as far as 300 BC. Its main characteristic is that of having a very black coat, an extremely thick mane, hocks and tail and a pleasant and affectionate temperament, being at the same time a very versatile working animal.

Neck: Rather short, arched, muscular, well attached. Adorned with flowing mane
BODY: Wide and not very prominent withers that are confused with the line of the neck. Back lumbar straight line, short back and wide loins, rounded flanks, muscular and oblique rump, thick and flowing tail, well set on. Chest broad and muscular, chest wide and deep
Limbs: Well muscled, covered with long hair in the back from the shins down. Shoulder muscled, long and sloping, joints and feet wide.
