The Sheepdog is also establishing itself in Italy as a real sport to be carried out with your dog. Literally "sheep dog", this term refers to sporting activity, competitive or not, that can be carried out with your dog, as long as it is a shepherd dog or has a significant instinct to work as such. During the Game Fair 2013 the ASD One Day will take care of organizing sheepdog exhibitions every day. The performances will be commented and explained to the public by a One Day representative. During the shows the public will be able to see a truly spectacular and exciting type of work: dogs that, thanks to verbal or whistled commands, given from a distance, will lead the flocks of sheep in predetermined directions. How is the sheepdog born? There are books and documents about a black shepherd dog from the English countryside; it is found in the buying and selling of flocks, sold “with a black sheep dog”; in the notarial deeds of the properties where, in the list of assets, livestock animals were mentioned: sheep, horses, cows, pigs and sheep dogs (giving them a value that normally at that time normal farm dogs did not have ). This demonstrates the usefulness of these dogs in the semi-wild breeding of sheep and cattle in those territories.
The Border Collie was born from the selection of breeds made by shepherds, to obtain a dog that had speed and courage, great obedience, a unique intelligence and a resistance to all test. Border, border in English because the regions where this dog developed were on the border between Scotland and England. The challenges between this breed of dog probably originated in pubs, where men gathered at the end of their tiring days of work. On holidays, the shepherds give life to dog races, simulating the work of every day. Since then, this game between shepherds has been regulated and has undergone several modifications, up to the modern sheepdog, a difficult and complex but beautiful sport, now widespread and practiced throughout Europe, the USA, New Zealand and Australia.
The sheepdog at the Game Fair will be handled by Lyuba Musso. He began to breed dogs in 1971 and spent several years in England, where he refined his skills as a breeder and trainer of sheepdog dogs. The Border Collies of the Fieschi, bred by her, combining the global characteristics of the breed at a high morphological level, are honored in exhibition, in agility and even in civil protection. But it is above all in the Sheepdog, the activity for which they were born, that they are most honored. Lyuba Musso personally practices this sport by competing with her dogs in class III in national and international competitions and conducts training courses throughout Italy. Lyuba is also technical coach of the Middle Hill Sheepdog Team.

The other dog discipline for adults and children, now confirmed at the Game Fair is the Agility Dog. Also for this edition great importance will be given to this discipline of dog lovers during the event in Tarquinia. Agility dog is a dog discipline of great public appeal for its spectacularity. Always present at the Game Fair, this year it will be managed by industry professionals. During the Game Fair 2013 the ASD One Day will take care of organizing agility exhibitions. The performances will be commented and explained to the public by a One Day representative in order to allow you to understand in detail all aspects of the activity. The performances will take place at the dog ring located in the center of the exhibition village.
Twice a day the public will be able to appreciate the splendid work / play of the animals. The shows will simulate real agility competitions. At the end of the performances, the children present will be given the opportunity to try their hand at this discipline. The ASD One Day will make available to children who request it, their dogs to experience the thrill of leading a dog already prepared for this discipline.
The whole activity is coordinated by Giada Morabito, technical manager of the ASD One Day and active in this sector for 15 years. Several of his animals have been selected for important events and have participated in television broadcasts. Giada has also participated in the specialty world championships. ENCI trainer, President of the Tuscany section of the CAPB, Guidice AIA is above all a great lover of dogs and uses her extraordinary feeling to feed her high professional profile. His passion for playing with his animals and in educating young and old with his own will be the real show of the Game Fair.
