Fifty editions they are a remarkable achievement, and if you add a positive balance it is even better. There Suvereto Wild Boar Festival, in the province of Livorno, ended just three days ago e the numbers are exciting to say the least. The fifteen days of events have enlivened this area of Tuscany: the participants were really numerous, without forgetting the over 500 kilos of wild boar meat cooked and served, able to satisfy even the most demanding palates.
In addition to the gastronomic aspect, this event was fundamental to encourage tourism, sport, music and crafts local. Andrea Morelli, number one of the Suvereto Valorization Body (the association that organizes the event together with the Municipality), recalled the sacrifice and sweat of the volunteers, all repaid by an increasing number of tourists present in this Tuscan village.
After fifty editions, what more can you ask for? The organizers of the festival are more ambitious every year and the phase that has just begun promises to be innovative and stimulating, in the hope that young people approach the event with conviction. The symbol of the event is the Great Hood: the grill cooked steaks, rostinciana and roast polenta, as well as cooking based on wild boar, oil and wine.
