Great satisfaction for the organizers of the deer seminar held on Friday 6 September at the municipal auditorium of Mareno di Piave (TV). Present the National President of Arcicaccia Piergiorgio Fassini, the Provincial President Paolo Sponchiado and the President of the Mareno di Piave Section Wilma Vettorel, a packed room listened to the illustration by the Faunist Dario Buscema, of the results of a research conducted by Veneto Agricoltura using the satellite radiotrackting technique, demonstrating the massive presence of deer in the Friuli foothills, especially during the winter.
Among the participants in the evening the MEP Marco Dreosto, who highlighted, in his speech, the importance in the future of the management of ungulates, both in relation to the impact of the same with human activities, and as a resource to be used in a dedicated market chain, on the basis of as indicated by current community regulations, as is already the case in many European countries.
This first initiative is part of the path underway throughout the national territory, strongly desired by President Fassini, to raise awareness among hunters and beyond, on environmental issues, because, as repeatedly stated by Fassini"The hunter is the first among the environmentalists, endowed with a particular sensitivity for the territory and the animals, which every day contributes with his work to defend and preserve".
