Luco of Mugello e Raw, fractions of the municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence), will soon host the traditional "Festival of Wild Boar and Mugello Tortello", an appointment now in its fifth edition. The event will begin on August 5th, with a series of evenings that will continue until August XNUMXth. At the Grezzano sports facility it will be possible to taste meat delicacies of the ungulate, in addition of course to the pasta so famous in these parts.
The menu includes a number of starters with game platters or platters of pecorino cheeses from Mugello. Alternatively, you can also eat tasty croutons. As for the first courses, there will be potato tortelli, tagliatelle, gnocchi with wild boar sauce or meat. The latter will be instead jugged wild boar, fried wild boar, baked wild boar and grilled steaks.
There will be mixed grills, side dishes and dessert, that is the marengo in raspberry sauce. For five years, therefore, wild boar and tortello, typical specialty of Mugello cuisine, they are united by this festival. Among other things, Borgo San Lorenzo is being talked about these days in the hunting field also for transfers: the Municipality has decided to rely on blank firing campaigns to drive away the birds.
